- Legitimate interest — to operate the platform securely and prevent fraud
- Legal obligation — to comply with financial regulations and law enforcement requests
- Consent — for optional features such as marketing communications (opt-out available)
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed and only with:
- Other Felhomes users — your name, public referral code, and properties you list publicly are visible. Wallet balance, transactions, bank accounts, and KYC documents are never shared with other users.
- Sponsors and referrers — people who referred you can see that you signed up; they receive ₦3,000 on registration and 5% on property purchases.
- Service providers — Firebase (Google) for auth, database, and storage; Monnify for payments. Each is bound by their own privacy obligations.
- Law enforcement and regulators — when legally required (court orders, NFIU reports, CBN audits, tax authority requests).
- Business transfers — if Felhomes is acquired or merges, your data may transfer to the new entity, subject to the same protections in this policy.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on Google Firebase servers with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit
- Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed by Firebase Authentication
- Card details are handled exclusively by Monnify (PCI-DSS compliant). We never see or store your full card number.
- We retain data for as long as your account is active, plus up to 7 years after closure for legal, tax, and anti-money-laundering compliance
No system is perfectly secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong password and never share it.

To delete your account: open the Felhomes app, go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account. Some data (transaction records, KYC documents) is retained for the legal retention period and then permanently deleted.

Some service providers (Google Firebase) may store data on servers outside Nigeria. We rely on the contractual protections those providers offer, including compliance with major data protection frameworks, and take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected.
